Abstract

With an increased understanding of the molecular heterogeneity of cancer, access to samples is now becoming critical for clinical research and cancer trials. However, challenges can arise in collection, storage and use of samples in research due to a complex or unclear regulatory environment and varying local governance rules of individual institutes. In this talk key challenges will be discussed including examples and recommendations on how we can move forward will be reviewed.
