Abstract

Lung cancer is difficult to diagnose early, difficult to treat successfully and a difficult clinical topic in which to induce enthusiasm.   In this session, we discuss the frustrations and potential benefits of screening, the possibility of stem cell aetiology and the impact on therapy and, finally, the challenge to patients and the NHS of presentation through A&E.
