Abstract

This symposium will explore pain in cancer patients that results from treatment, specifically from chemotherapy and surgery. The expert speakers will discuss basic mechanisms on chemotherapy induced neuropathic pain, translational work on targeted treatments, and finally the prevalence and epidemiology of post-breast cancer surgery pain. The symposium will be of relevance to basic scientists, and medical and nursing clinicians.
